Job Description
The Sustaining Engineering Director will lead a team dedicated to maintaining and enhancing existing products, driving design enhancements, quality improvements, manufacturability optimization, and cost reduction initiatives.
Requirements
- Lead and develop the Sustaining Engineering team
- Oversee engineering change management processes
- Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate closely with manufacturing, quality and supply chain
- Meet cost reduction and efficiency improvement objectives
- Define, monitor and leverage key performance metrics
- Develop and manage department and intellectual property budgets and activities
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship
- Stay current with industry regulations
- Collaborate with Marketing to identify and prioritize product line enhancements and extensions
- Work closely with the New Product Development team
