Job Description
HyperLight is a company focused on commercializing thin-film lithium niobate integrated photonics for AI/datacom infrastructure, hyperscale computing, and other applications. They are seeking a Photonics Layout Automation Engineer to develop automation tools and software for designing integrated circuits, particularly in areas like layout checks (DRC, LVS), mask preparation, and script-based layout frameworks. The role involves a collaborative environment with a team focused on rapid deployment and scalable manufacturing of photonics technology.
Requirements
- 2+ years of relevant work experience or equivalent experience through an advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- Understanding of basic programming principles including object-oriented and functional programming.
- Experience developing software collaboratively, using modern version control tools like Git or SVN.
