Job Description
Iambic Therapeutics is seeking an exceptional scientific leader to serve as Head of Translational Oncology. This role is responsible for leading classical translational science, operationalizing bidirectional learning between translational/clinical data and AI/ML models, and defining biomarker & patient selection strategy.
Requirements
- Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent advanced degree in cancer biology, molecular biology, pharmacology, computational biology, or a related discipline.
- Typically 12–20+ years of relevant experience in biotech or pharma, with progressive leadership responsibility.
- Demonstrated success advancing at least one oncology program into clinical development.
- Deep expertise in translational science, including biomarker strategy, MoA, resistance, and combination biology.
- Proven experience working with large, complex translational and/or clinical datasets, ideally incorporating bioinformatics and ML-based approaches.
- Strong working knowledge of AI/ML concepts as applied to drug discovery and development.
- Track record of leading cross-functional teams, influencing without authority, and partnering effectively with computational and clinical colleagues.
- Excellent scientific storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to frame evidence-based narratives for senior and executive audiences.
