Fabrication and Integration Tech, Unmanned Aircraft (Electromechanical)

ICEYE is looking for an Assembly and Integration Technician (MAIT / AIT) to join our High Altitude Pseudosatelite (HAPS) team tasked with the development of an unmanned, stratospheric electric aircraft. The role involves fabrication and assembly of composite carbon fiber parts, metallic structures, cabling harness and battery pack integration, as well as installation of avionic subsystems and end-to-end ground testing of individual subsystems of the aircraft.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience as an electrical/electromechanical/electronic technician with a hands-on approach
• Hands-on experience in aircraft, robot, race car or similar system prototyping & manufacturing
• Experience with mechanical prototyping (3D printing, using basic mechanical workshop equipment)
• Good systems and physics understanding
• Basic knowledge of CAD tools
• Experience developing process improvements and setups to improve cycle times, repeatability, and maturity
• Good command of the English language, both oral and written
