Kiln Forklift Operator - Swing (Laclede)

The Kiln Operator is responsible for the operation of kilns, maintenance, and quality control in manufacturing processes.

Requirements

• Startup of kiln and boiler systems
• Set up and operate kilns to accommodate new products
• Set up system to track drying performance and schedule efficiency
• Load and unload dry kilns in accordance with IFG quality standards
• Change kilns as required
• Follow procedures of spotter when loading/unloading kilns
• Fill out daily operator’s report
• Program and monitor computers
• Maintain dry kilns
• Clean up dry and green yards
• Maintain kiln carts
• Use roof caps as needed
• Abide by all IFG yarding, forklift, and quality policies
• Train kiln and forklift operators
• Shovel and/or plow snow and sand as needed
• Other assigned tasks or duties as directed by supervisor
