Job Description
IDEA Lakeland College Prep is seeking a 7th Grade Pre-AP Science Teacher to increase student achievement in science. Teachers will deliver a range of science instruction, focusing on the necessary knowledge and skills for science subjects to advance. This role involves curriculum development, lesson planning, assessment, and student support, playing a critical role in students' college preparation.
Requirements
- High level of content-area proficiency (teaching certification, field of study, or work experience)
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution
- Holding or willingness to pursue a Florida educator certification
- Knowledge of core academic subject (assigned)
- Basic knowledge of curricula and instructional practices
- Ability to instruct and manage student behavior
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adjust to a multitude of situations
- Minimum 40+ hours spent at school per week
