Special Education Teacher - IDEA Hardy Academy (Immediate Opening)

IDEA Special Education teachers are responsible for the academic achievement and support of special education students, with a focus on individualized education and comprehensive in-class instruction. They develop IEPs, assess student needs, and work closely with families to ensure each student has the opportunity to succeed, regardless of their abilities. This is a grant-funded position with no guaranteed ongoing employment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution
• Valid Texas state certification in Special Education
• Experience in a Special Education classroom setting strongly preferred
• Knowledge of core academic subject
• Knowledge of curriculum and instruction
