Job Description
IDEA Special Education teachers develop individualized plans for students with diverse learning needs, providing in-class support and assisting with assignments. They collaborate with students and families to support academic achievement and transition to higher education. IDEA Public Schools is a tuition-free, multi-state network of public charter schools with a mission to college-bound students.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution
- Experience in a Special Education classroom setting strongly preferred
- Valid Texas state certification in Special Education required
- Knowledge of core academic subject assigned
- Knowledge of curriculum and instruction
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Record of results for students who are academically at risk
