Requirements

• Develop electrical designs for rotating machinery
• Design and optimize synchronous excitation systems
• Develop high voltage insulation systems
• Engineer considering various cooling methods
• Perform detailed electromagnetic calculations and analyses
• Create and refine winding patterns, insulation systems, and electromagnetic circuits
• Develop and validate analytical models using IDEAL's proprietary electrical design software
• Calculate and specify electrical parameters
• Determine requirements for electrical protection systems
• Prepare, review, and approve test reports
• Familiarity with industry standards relevant to rotating electrical machines
• Support certification efforts with various regulatory bodies
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers to ensure proper integration of electrical and mechanical systems
• Work with manufacturing team members to develop production-friendly designs
• Review and optimize existing electrical designs
• Support testing and validation of prototypes and new designs
• Troubleshoot electrical issues in existing products and develop solutions to improve performance
• Prepare technical documentation
• Evaluate new technologies and materials for potential application in rotating electrical equipment
• Support sales efforts by providing technical expertise during customer interactions and proposal development
