Mainframe IMS/DB2 System Programmer (29948)

IDEALFORCE has a Contract-to-Hire position available for a Mainframe IMS/DB2 System Programmer to join our customer in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate will have three to five years of mainframe and IMS system programmer experience and will perform installation, maintenance, and support of mainframe software and utilities, with emphasis on IMS.

Requirements

• Installation, testing, and deployment of IMS maintenance and upgrades
• Installation, testing, and deployment of z/OS OEM software maintenance and upgrades
• Installation, testing, and deployment of DB2 and/or CICS maintenance and upgrades
• Mentor state agency application developers to utilize best practices for DBMS coding and methodology
• Perform research and design on new technologies and make recommendations
• Creation of Policies, Standards, and Procedures for the Database system support and usage
• Interface with external partners, customers, and vendors
