BI/Visualization Analyst

BI/Visualization Analyst role requires 5+ years of experience in data visualization and reporting, with advanced technical skills in BI reporting tools, modern Visual Analytics Tools, and agile development practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience working in data visualization and reporting
• Fluency in using traditional BI reporting tools, modern Visual Analytics Tools, source control, testing frameworks, and agile development practices
• Advanced technical skills in designing and building POCs for capabilities needed by Analysts
• Understanding of the spectrum of visualization tools available on the market and technical integration with other tools
• Creative thinking and understanding of UI design, typography, interface design, user experience design, and visual art design
• Experience with BI data models and data warehouse model
• Working knowledge of SDLC processes
• In-depth knowledge of Visualization and Reporting Tools, such as QlikView, Qlik Sense, Business Objects, etc.
• In-depth understanding of data and data relationships and experience with SQL
• Familiarity with modern (JavaScript) visualization frameworks, such as d3js
• Ability to work with and mentor business analysts and business users
• Consultative approach; solving problems quickly, managing expectations, and communicating clearly
• Ability to apply the right Visual Analytics and Reporting capabilities to the right business problem
• Ability to challenge conventional thinking and use data visualization in new and novel ways
• Ability to be a thought-leader as well as a mentor and mature our organizational competency in the use of Visual Analytics and Reporting
