Network Engineer

Impact is seeking a Network Engineer to join the Team of Network Operations at Service Operations. This role will be part of a focused team and will provide world-class customer support and technical expertise for Impact's networking environments. The ideal candidate will possess experience in IT support, troubleshooting, and understanding customer needs to build effective network infrastructure and provide proactive network management.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of industry experience in a production support role for an enterprise or managed service provider (MSP)
• Solid operational support experience and technical troubleshooting skills
• Working knowledge of routing protocols including BGP4, OSPF, ISIS and the Internet concepts and routing architectures
• Working knowledge of spanning tree and layer two switching concepts
• Demonstrated experience with ITIL and Service Management
• Strong communication skills and customer-service focus
• Excellent time-management skills
• Excellent writing and verbal communications skills
• Ability to communicate and work directly with customers
• Ability to execute sound judgment and take initiative
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
