Job Description
Independent Software is seeking a Technical Writer Level 3 to support system engineers, software developers, and program teams. The role involves creating and maintaining technical documentation for all stages of the software lifecycle, including user guides, manuals, and technical publications. Communication of complex technical information is key to successful deployment and user adoption.
Requirements
- Prepare and maintain user guides, manuals, operations documentation, and technical publications
- Write and edit technical documentation for hardware and software
- Assist in documentation for software code and end-user materials
- Organize and maintain an internal technical documentation library
- Coordinate document layout and design
- Use Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and other word processing tools
- Research technical subjects and express them clearly
- Support the development of reports, briefings, and acquisition documentation
