Adjunct Physics

Indian River State College is seeking passionate Adjunct Physics Instructors to join our academic team. In this role, you will teach Physics or Astronomy courses, bringing energy and expertise to the classroom to help students understand the fundamental principles and apply them to real-world problems.

Requirements

• Masters degree from a regionally accredited institution in the specific teaching discipline, or a Masters degree from a regionally accredited institution with a minimum of eighteen (18) graduate hours in the specific teaching discipline.
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written;
• Proven teaching skills with the ability to convey basic concepts and theories in a practical and comprehensible way;
• Ability to recognize and to respond to students from culturally diverse backgrounds as well as the willingness to make students active partners in the teaching/learning process;
• Computer literacy and experience using computers in classroom with a willingness to apply technology and innovative approaches to the teaching of specific discipline.
