Adjunct - Theatre Arts

Indian River State College is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Adjunct Instructor in Theatre Arts to deliver dynamic, high-quality instruction in a student-centered environment.

Requirements

• Masters or doctorate degree from a regionally accredited institution in Theatre Arts / Performing Arts, or a Masters or doctorate degree in a regionally accredited institution with a minimum of eighteen (18) graduate hours in Theatre Arts / Performing Arts;
• High school and/or college level theatre teaching experience; preferred
• Knowledge and experience in acting terminology/techniques and theatre history
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written;
• Proven teaching skills with the ablility to convey basic concepts and theories in a practical and comprehensible way;
• Computer literacy and experience using a computer in courses with a willingness to apply technology and innovative approaches to the teaching of specific discipline;
• Meet the appropriate credentialing requirements for the Southern Association for Colleges and Schools (SACS).
