Job Description
This is a full-time Special Weekend Option MRI Technologist position located at West Hospital. The hours are Friday, Saturday and Sunday 6:30a-7p. Possesses knowledge of MRI safety and safety zones. Reviews patient history and screens for safety concerns (ferromagnetic objects, implanted devices, etc.). Educates patients on what to expect and ensures they are safe and comfortable during their scan.
Requirements
- 0-3 years of relevant experience
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Advanced certification through one of the following: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: Registered Technologist - Magnetic Resonance, RT(MR) ; or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT): Registered Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (RMRIT)
- Ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning
