We are searching for team members who are passionate about challenging and exciting work for the good of every patient! This position is full time, days, with varying start times from 5am-9am and call rotating for one week at a time for all after hours including Saturday and Sunday.
Requirements
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning
- Active status through one of the following: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: Registered Technologist - Nuclear Medicine, RT (NM); or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB): CNMT
- Advanced certification in Computed Tomography (CT) through the American Registry of Radiology Technology (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board, (NMTCB) within 18 months of hire, if working in PET CT
- Advanced certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: Registered Technologist - Magnetic Resonance, RT(MR); or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) within 18 months of hire, if working in PET MR
- Current Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) license as Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- Knowledge of PACS/RIS for training and problem resolution
- Knowledge of anatomy; physiology; mathematics; chemistry; physics; biology; radiation safety; clinical nuclear instrumentation; computer operation and laboratory techniques
- Excellent working knowledge of PET and CT or MR procedures, as appropriate per modality; the appropriate imaging protocols to be followed and in-vivo procedures
- Strong understanding of the handling of radiopharmaceuticals during the receipt; storage; administration; and disposal process
- Excellent working knowledge of imaging equipment and proper quality control criteria for each type of instrument being used
- Knowledge of proper laboratory procedures and a strong understanding of all hospital; state and federal policies and regulations regarding the handling of radioactive materials; hazardous chemicals; and body fluids
