Requirements
- University degree and CIP or FCIP designation
- Minimum 5 years underwriting experience in large Construction, Contracting & Builders Risk (Civil & Erection Projects)
- Technical knowledge of commercial Property, Liability & Builders Risk policy wordings for large commercial Property customers
- Strong working knowledge of catastrophe models
- Bilingualism (French/English)
- Ability to deal effectively and respectfully with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in collaboration with national departmental teams
- Highly organized, with the ability to work towards goals while adapting to change in a fast paced environment
- Effective analytical, negotiating and decision making skills
- Ability to make decisions in time sensitive situations, address complex problems, provide recommended course of action and take calculated risks
- High level of integrity, confidentiality and accountability
- Ability to work well under tight deadlines, including organizational and time management skills
