We're currently looking for a Commercial Lines Underwriter to join the Nordic team. This role is open to both intermediate and senior underwriters, with the level being determined based on the experience of the successful applicant. Your work will have a big impact on the success of our department.
Requirements
- Provide guidance to brokers as they quote and bind a wide range of risks which cannot be placed in the voluntary market.
- Underwrite and rate New Business, Endorsements, Renewals, and Cancellations in accordance with Facility Association rules.
- Collaborate with claims partners to support after-loss underwriting.
- Effectively manage competing priorities, delivering consistent productivity in a service-driven environment.
- Clearly and effectively communicate business requirements, dependencies, and outcomes.
- Make recommendations to improve the department processes and increase efficiency.
- Analyze trends and provide feedback to strengthen business objectives.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of all relevant CL underwriting guides and best practices.
- Support a team-driven environment, contributing technical advice, recommendations, and mentoring to colleagues.
