The Network Engineer III serves as the Senior Network Engineer Level II for the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center (DLIFLC) Academic Network Labor Contract. Responsibilities include wired and wireless network performance monitoring, network optimization, testing, IT project management, implementation of network security controls, advanced troubleshooting and analyzing all elements of the network infrastructure.
Requirements
- BA/BS from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 5+ years experience or substitute with AA/AS with 7+ years experience with any one of the following: IAT Level II (CySA+, Security+, CND, or SSCP) Certification and CE/OS Certification.
- 5 years of progressive experience in computer system/network engineering, including 2 years of specialized experience related to the tasks.
- CCNA or CCNP or equivalent computing environment certification requirements; 7 years documented experience in addition to previously stated experience requirements can be used as equivalent for certification.
- Advanced knowledge or experience with management of Palo Alto Networks firewall policy and content management, PAN OS management and threat monitoring and detection;
- Experience with HPE Aruba Wireless Networking architecture or similar (ie. Extreme Networks or Cisco). Advanced knowledge of policy management, troubleshooting and upgrading network access control system.
- Experience with Aruba ClearPass or similar NAC system (i.e. Cisco ISE).
