Nurse Resident - Baptist General Med Surg - Days

Integris Health Baptist Medical Center is seeking a Nurse Resident to join their General Medicine Med Surg team. The role focuses on providing exceptional patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, performing basic patient care tasks, and following established safety protocols. Resident may float to other units and participate in on-call status. The position requires adherence to National Patient Safety Goals.

Requirements

• Personal patient care tasks (moulage, making beds, giving baths, etc.)
• Assisting with patient safety issues (identification arm bands, fall protocol, use of restraints, etc.)
• Performs treatments (urinary catheter care, enema administration, preparation of sitz baths, etc.)
• Conducts and documents basic diagnostic testing (vital signs, blood glucose monitoring, etc.)
• Retrieves and transports medications
