Patient Accounting Spec Sr

The Patient Accounting Specialist III is responsible for processing complex transactions, reviewing and resolving denied and underpaid/overpaid claims, and maintaining third-party payer relationships. The role involves importing and processing payment files, executing the auditing and denial appeals process, and conducting relevant research to assist with resolving files or claims.

Requirements

• Importing and processing of payment files
• Claim processing
• Collection of insurance, and/or physician charge entry
• Auditing and denial appeals process
• Monitoring payer files for accuracy
• Conducting relevant research to assist with resolving files or claims
• Conducting internal and external correspondence accurately, clearly, concisely, and professionally
• Working with internal departments and external organizations to resolve complex accounts
• Maintaining data for trending purposes on payer issues, underpayments, banking errors, payment trends
