Responsible for the beginning set-up and/or automation processes for production, with emphasis on measures to increase productivity, efficiency and utilization.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) some college preferred
- Five years hands-on experience in plastics injection molding processes
- Working knowledge of molding theory and familiarity with various types of computer programmable injection molding machines
- Knowledge of commodity thermoplastic polymers, process capability analysis and SPC procedures
- Mechanical aptitude required
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
