Vietnamese Interpreter (San Francisco Bay Area)

This is an independent contractor position offering a flexible work schedule and ongoing opportunities. The interpreter will provide professional interpreting services primarily in healthcare settings.

Requirements

• Fluency in both Vietnamese and English
• Be based in San Francisco Bay Area
• Demonstrated experience providing accurate, complete, and clear interpretation in medical, legal, and community settings
• Strong ability to interpret orally between Vietnamese and English in both directions
• Proven ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds
• Skilled in meeting the communication needs of medical professionals, patients, government agencies, community organizations, and internal stakeholders
• Combination of formal interpreter training and/or relevant professional experience
• Willingness to obtain required medical clearances, including vaccination/immunization records and background checks, as necessary
• Possession of a valid California license
