IRB Barcelona is seeking a talented and experienced Computational Biology Developer to join the lab of Dr. Patrick Aloy. The position involves maintaining computational infrastructure, designing and implementing novel tools, and serving as a key contributor on research projects.
Requirements
- Extensive experience implementing and maintaining web-based resources and High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments
- Excellent Linux knowledge
- Excellent programming and scripting skills, with knowledge of Python, Javascript, HTML5, CSS3 and PHP
- Excellent knowledge of databases management (postgresSQL and Neo4j)
- HPC queue systems, virtual environments (OpenNebula, Proxmox) and Grid Containers (Docker, Singularity)
- Highly motivated, fluency in English and excellent interpersonal skills
