Job Description
Senior Manager Actuarial Reporting - Canada Life Reinsurance seeks an experienced actuary to lead the team's Group capital reporting deliverables, including quarterly capital forecast and capital reporting. The role requires excellent technical capability, judgement, and ability to shape and influence the team vision.
Requirements
- Actuarial qualification with typically 4+ years post-qualification relevant technical experience
- Exposure to actuarial reporting
- Excellent judgement and ability to shape and influence the team vision
- Strong technical ability, judgement, reporting experience and commercial awareness
- Capacity to effectively and efficiently solve problems and make decisions
- Strong organisational skills and ability to plan work, manage time effectively and ensure timely completion of all deliverables
- Proven ability to build and manage relationships, including demonstrated ability to gain trust and collaborate effectively
- Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively translating complex concepts into concise and meaningful insights for different audiences
- People management experience with the ability to manage a team to successful outcomes
- Extensive experience with MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint and ideally SQL
