PATROL OFFICER

Ithaca College is seeking a Patrol Officer to maintain law and order, prevent crime, and ensure the safety and security of the campus and its community. The officer will be responsible for enforcing regulations, investigating incidents, supervising staff, and participating in campus safety initiatives. The role requires effective communication, a proactive approach, and adherence to departmental procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Preferred candidates with relevant experience in law enforcement, security, military service, or other professional roles.
• Successful completion of or ability to complete the New York State Basic Course for Police Officers and certification.
• Possession or ability to obtain a New York State Pistol Permit.
• Valid New York State driver's license or the ability to obtain one.
• Ability and flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
