Adjunct Faculty positions are temporary, part-time positions hired each semester on an as-needed basis. The adjunct faculty member will be responsible for creating a learning environment that assists students in reaching their goals; and for providing effective instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi provided by the School.
Requirements
- Deliver assigned classes using pedagogy and technology that best support student learning
- Facilitate student achievement of expected program learning outcomes
- Engage with students in meaningful and productive ways
- Maintain student records, attendance, grades, and other documentation as required
- Use Learning Management System (e.g. Canvas) to facilitate teaching, learning, assessment, and communication
- Ensure knowledge and implementation of emergency and safety procedures for classrooms, labs, and all learning environments
- Monitor and document student performance throughout the semester
- Provide necessary interventions to include communication with students, and referrals to appropriate college resources
- Participate in professional development activities
- Stay current in contemporary pedagogy, digital technology, and other technology related to teaching
