Job Description
IXL Learning is seeking an Assessment Specialist to join their Language Arts Curriculum Team as a Language Arts Curriculum Designer. The role involves designing clear and engaging assessment items for grades K-5, working collaboratively with psychometricians and product managers, and contributing to the development of high-quality assessment materials. #LI-SR1
Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Education, English, Linguistics, or a related field with an explicit focus on literacy
- 2+ years' experience writing foundational reading items for statewide or national assessments
- Experience teaching beginning or struggling readers using a structured literacy approach
- Outstanding written and spoken communication skills
- Ability to think strategically and creatively solve problems
- Ability to quickly learn new guidelines and software
