A Welder joins and shapes metal and other materials, and welds pieces of metal together.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a Welder in a manufacturing or similar environment
- Ability to obtain necessary welding certification
- Proficient in GMAW, FCAW & Stick (SMAW) welding techniques
- Perform work to meet AISC standards
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting blueprints and welding symbols
- operating overhead cranes and rigging knowledge
