Job Description
The Shipping and Receiving Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily shipping, receiving, and inventory control operations to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient movement of materials and finished goods.
Requirements
- Supervise and coordinate all shipping and receiving activities
- Lead, train, schedule shipping and receiving staff
- Maintain inventory accuracy through proper transactions, cycle counts, and adherence to inventory procedures
- Enforce company policies related to safety, quality, housekeeping, and regulatory compliance
- Monitor shipping costs and recommend improvements to optimize freight expenditure and efficiency
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies, damages, or shortages and implement corrective actions
- Utilize ERP/WMS systems to track shipments, inventory and performance metrics
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, accuracy, and customer satisfaction
