Job Description
The Head Start Classroom Assistant will support the classroom teachers in classroom duties, implementing curriculum, development of lesson plans, administering screenings, conducting observations, supervising children, and teaching developmentally appropriate practices.
Requirements
- Implementation of Creative Curriculum
- Conducting observations and notation of documentation
- Actively supervising children
- Teaching developmentally appropriate practices and utilize trauma informed care
- Ensuring compliance with Head Start performance standards within the classroom
- Partnering with a multi-disciplinary team
- Supporting peers by collaborating and sharing experiences to find solutions together
