Senior CAD Designer – Fire Alarm, Sprinkler, and Security Systems

Jensen Hughes is seeking a Senior CAD Designer to join their Las Vegas or Phoenix team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of engineering principles, CAD software proficiency, and a commitment to delivering accurate and timely design solutions for life safety systems.

Requirements

• Develop detailed design drawings and specifications using CAD software for fire alarm, sprinkler, and security systems
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure designs meet project specifications, industry standards, and local regulations
• Perform site surveys to inspect and evaluate building features and systems
• Modify and update existing drawings to reflect as-built conditions or changes during the project lifecycle
• Perform calculations for sprinkler system hydraulics and ensure compliance with NFPA codes and standards
• Create detailed layouts, schematics, and diagrams for installations, including electrical wiring and piping
• Maintain organized and accurate project documentation, ensuring all files are up-to-date and accessible
• Review plans for quality, accuracy, and adherence to customer and code requirements
