General Manager, Application Engineering

JERA Americas is seeking a strategic and experienced General Manager, Application Engineering to lead the strategy, development, and delivery of all enterprise applications across JERA Americas.

Requirements

• Lead the strategy and execution of all IT application platforms across JERA Americas.
• Oversee application engineering for systems supporting Energy Trading & Risk Management (ETRM), SAP Systems, Enterprise Applications, and Integration Services.
• Collaborate with IT operations, enterprise architecture, and PMO to ensure cohesive execution of technology initiatives.
• Partner with business stakeholders to translate needs into scalable and secure application solutions.
• Coordinate with global teams, including JERA Tokyo, to align on standards, platforms, and shared initiatives.
• Promote agile development practices and continuous improvement across application teams.
• Ensure application reliability, performance, and compliance with internal and external standards.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that enhance business capabilities.
• Maintain documentation, roadmaps, and architectural alignment for all application platforms.
