Backend Engineering Team Manager - Europe

We are looking for a Backend Engineering Team Manager in Europe to lead and inspire a team of backend engineers in a dynamic, remote-first environment. The successful candidate will have experience in software development, engineering leadership, and a strong technical background.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in software development
• 2+ years in engineering leadership roles
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Strong backend development experience
• Experience with databases, caching systems, and background processing frameworks
• Knowledge of software engineering best practices, testing strategies, and CI/CD pipelines
• Understanding of scalability, reliability, observability, and security principles
• Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills
