Composite Tooling Maintenance Technician

Joby is a company focused on developing and piloting air taxis to reduce congestion and increase time spent with loved ones. They are seeking a Composite Tooling Technician to join their team and support the manufacturing of aircraft prototypes. The role involves preparing tooling for resin infusion and manual handling of composite materials.

Requirements

• Detailing and preparing composite tooling master model surfaces for prepreg and resin infusion.
• Building, detailing, sealing and releasing production lamination molds.
• Understanding of composite and metallic materials.
• Manual dexterity and ability to use hand & power tools.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and record-keeping.
• Commitment to safety protocols.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to work in a safe manner.
• Ability to lift assemblies up to 50 lbs.
• No known allergies to epoxies or other composites materials.
• Ability to get certified to wear a respirator.
• Ability to work in a safe manner.
