Children's Mental Health Clinician (Clinician II)

Johnson County Mental Health is hiring a licensed Master’s Level Clinician to work in their Children and Family Services Program, providing clinical services to children, ages 4-18, with severe emotional disabilities (SED) and their families.

Requirements

• Provides individual, family, and group therapy to clients within the juvenile detention center and the Juvenile Justice System.
• Conducts initial clinical intakes and assessments for new clients.
• Completes required documentation. Develops, monitors, and updates treatment plans.
• Conducts hospital and Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility screens for persons at risk of danger to self or others.
• Functions as part of a treatment team by attending regular team meetings at both juvenile detention and JCMHC, providing support to others.
• Provides resource referrals.
• Provides crisis intervention services and assessments when needed.
• Conducts mental health assessments for court as needed.
• Completes court ordered Competency Evaluations for youth.
