Job Description
Julie Billiart Schools is seeking an Intervention Specialist to provide educational support to students with special needs in grades K-8. This role involves planning and implementing instructional programs, establishing clear objectives, and managing student behavior. The role emphasizes collaboration with a co-teach model, ensuring students have the opportunity to reach their full potential. The Intervention Specialist will work cooperatively with lead teachers to create a positive learning environment.
Requirements
- Obtain a valid Ohio Intervention Specialist License or be in process of obtaining
- Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience with students with ADHD, Autism, or learning challenges
- Proficient in differentiating education
- Ability to implement social and behavioral strategies for teens
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Flexible and independent with a strong focus on problem-solving
