IT System Engineer / Administrator - Fircosoft Platform 100% (m/f/d) - (Contract through our external payroll partner for 12 months with possible internalization)

As an IT Systems Engineer / Administrator, you will be responsible for the technical implementation, maintenance, and optimisation of the Fircosoft platform within Julius Baer's financial institution. You will ensure the system effectively identifies and flags potential sanctions violations, working closely with IT, Compliance, and Operations teams.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science from a university or technical college
• Solid understanding of Fircosoft products
• Experience with list management, quality assurance, and maintaining audit trails
• Familiarity with relevant financial regulations, such as OFAC, HMT, EU, and UN sanctions lists
• Strong technical skills, including database management, PKI, SSH, digital certificates, IP networking, load balancing, firewalls, programming, and messaging technologies
• Ability to analyse data, identify patterns, and derive actionable insights
• Experience in project planning, system implementation, and leading system/user acceptance testing
• Proactive, organised, and self-motivated, with strong communication skills
• Fluency in English (C1, written/verbal); German is a significant advantage
