Requirements
- Work as part of a project team to identify, plan, coordinate and implement safety improvements in tunnels
- Perform work activities such as risk assessments, method statements and safety procedures to ensure tunnel safety standards are met
- Conduct safety inspections to identify and report potential safety hazards
- Develop and implement plans to eliminate or control hazards and take proactive measures to prevent accidents
- Provide advice and guidance to tunnel owners, contractors and site personnel on tunnel safety issues
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement safety policies, procedures and training programs
- Conduct investigations into accidents and incidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
- Participate in tunnel safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with tunnel safety standards
- Develop and maintain safety documentation, such as safety policies, procedures and records
- Provide training to tunnel owners, contractors and site personnel on tunnel safety issues
