Job Description
Kanopi Studios is seeking a WordPress Technical Lead to join their team in Mississauga, Ontario. The role involves driving technical execution on client projects, mentoring developers, shaping architectural decisions, and ensuring quality delivery while maintaining Kanopi’s high standards. The position reports to the WordPress Engineering Manager and requires strong leadership and collaboration skills.
Requirements
- 8+ years of WordPress experience
- Deep expertise with WordPress architecture and custom development
- Proficient in Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), CPTs, taxonomies, REST API integration
- Strong understanding of full-site editing (FSE), templates, and block patterns
- Proficiency in JavaScript and React
- Solid PHP and SQL experience
- Experience mentoring or leading developers and managing distributed teams
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science
