Job Description
The YMCA of Greater Kansas City is seeking a Lifeguard to protect swimmers and prevent accidents in their Family Center. No prior certification is required, and the YMCA provides free training and certification. Lifeguards will be responsible for all aspects of pool management, including safety checks, maintenance, and reporting. Lifeguards are expected to be a team player and ready to respond to emergencies.
Requirements
- Model the YMCA’s core values
- Maintain high alert levels at all times
- Complete in-service training a month
- Perform pass and rescue skills
- Pass physical competency test
- Must be at least 16 years old
- National CPR, First Aid, Emergency Oxygen, and Lifeguard/Shallow Water certifications (or training)
