The Chief Engineer will serve the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Plus task order in support of the U.S. Department of State (DOS). The Chief Engineer is responsible for all water purification, water storage, water distribution and waste water treatments, as well as generators, and associated power generation, transmission and distribution equipment.
Requirements

- Supervising and overseeing the operations of the water and waste water treatment plants
- Ensuring the viability, availability and safety of water treatment and waste distribution systems
- Performing scheduled and unscheduled inspections
- Reporting any malfunctions or lack of compliance with SOW to the Chief Engineer
- Assisting in developing the SOW when requested
- Maintaining effective, timely and respectful communication and interaction with other employees and managers
- Performing administrative tasks including ordering material, inventorying and scheduling work
- Managing logistics, stock levels and workflow processes
- Collecting, analyzing and summarizing data for report preparation and submit written reports
- Maintaining appropriate technical library and record keeping
- Responsible for facility custodianship of work area and management of tools, equipment and spare parts
- Taking initiative to analyze situations and make frequent technical decisions based on specifications, safety and electrical codes
- Evaluating operational effectiveness and developing/maintaining effective operational control mechanisms
- Responsible for allocating and managing staff resources according to changing needs
- Identifying problem areas and responding to mission requirements to perform task order requirements
- Planning and managing projects
- Controlling resources; monitoring staff proficiency and qualifications; monitoring the locations and activities of assets; and coordinating the flow of information to and from O&M staff and USG representatives
- Resolving physical plant and building operations issues
- Enforcing a safety culture whereby all employees have the responsibility for continuously developing and maintaining a safe work environment
- Participating on safety committees and teams
- Ensuring that employees conform to KBR quality policy and carry out job activities in compliance with applicable KBR Quality System documents and customer requirements, providing services that meet or exceed customer expectations
