The Sales Engineer APAC is responsible for accelerating Kennametal’s diversification into markets and applications offering large growth opportunities. The Sales Engineer APAC will be responsible for the sales opportunities that concern mainly Evaporator Boats coming from our facilities in China, and will have a territory responsibility in APAC.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred Master’s Degree) in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Material Science, Business Administration or related discipline required as a minimum.
- 5+ years of sales and sales leadership experience.
- Proven commercial understanding with a track record of developing and executing commercial strategies and action plans.
- Experience in managing and traveling in APAC markets is an advantage.
- In-depth understanding of the manufacturing industry and concepts associated with machining.
- Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills.
- Strong business and commercial acumen.
- Strong influencing skills and executive presence.
- Process-oriented mindset supported in applying sales productivity tools and systems (CRM, SAP, etc. ).
- Team-player but also has ability to be a self-starter.
- Structured and analytical style of working.
- Excellent IT skills (MS Office, SAP).
- Fluent English in speaking and writing.
- Willingness to travel frequently including staying overnight.
- Able to cooperate effectively on different levels externally and on lateral level KMT internally.
- Excellent planning skills.
