Requirements

• Demonstrated strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Successful history of matching strong interpersonal skills to business needs.
• Methods and tools for performance optimization.
• Awareness of best practices and alert to challenges.
• General Management and team management.
• Cross functional team management.
• Understanding of how to sustain a culture of continuous improvement.
• Requires Locomotive Engineer certification;
• Must be a qualified locomotive engineer with a valid Class 1 Locomotive Engineer's License and no record of decertification.
• Strongly prefer a combination of relevant, position-related experiences, training and education.
• Requires a minimum of 5 years' experience interpreting operating and safety rules.
• Must have basic skills in use of MS Office package including Outlook.
• Demonstrated excellent verbal and written skills.
• Ability to communicate successfully with a variety of different disciplines and levels including both internal and external staff.
• Demonstrated capability in providing managerial leadership to direct reports.
• Demonstrated capability in planning and delivering improvements over a 3 to 12 months’ timeframe.
• Prefer prior experience hiring, supervising, and evaluating the work of direct and indirect reports.
