Job Description
KIPP Indy Public Schools is seeking a Dedicated Special Education Teacher to join their team and help create high-quality, individualized learning experiences for students with diverse needs. The role involves developing and implementing IEPs, collaborating with general education teachers, and ensuring student success. KIPP Indy is a large, successful nonprofit network committed to providing access to high-quality education regardless of background.
Requirements
- Valid Indiana teaching license with Special Education certification or eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in special education or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with students with disabilities
- Strong knowledge of state and federal special education regulations, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA)
- Experience in writing and managing IEPs
- Criminal background check
