Shift Engineer

The Shift Engineer will possess proven experience of dealing with electro-mechanical faults and preventative maintenance operations within a warehouse environment. The Engineer will be safety conscious and have a track record of owning problems and taking them through to successful completion.

• Mechanical strip-down/re-assembly
• Basic field wiring
• Machine calibration and system testing
• Day to day maintenance of site MHE
• Time management via CMMS
• Continuous improvement of equipment
• Reactive repairs
• Interacting with on-site management
• Service and repair of installed products
• Health and safety considerations
• Risk assessments
• Strong safety culture and compliance
• Mechanical aptitude
• Assembly and operation of hand tools
• Following set up instructions and assembly drawings
• Attention to detail and follow-up skills
• Communication with stakeholders
• Understanding of PLC’s and their function
• Pneumatic and Hydraulic knowledge
• Computer literate with basic Microsoft Office skills
• Use of CMMS system and engineering stores
