Job Description
KnowBe4 is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for their AI Engineering team, focusing on designing and operating intelligent systems for cybersecurity. The role involves defining the technical vision, leading design reviews, mentoring engineers, and establishing best practices for observability, testing, and secure, explainable AI systems. This remote position opens to US customers and involves building systems that safeguard organizations from emerging threats.
Requirements
- 9+ years of experience designing and operating large-scale, distributed or AI-driven systems.
- Proven technical leadership defining architecture and design patterns across multiple teams or domains.
- Expertise in Python and backend/API frameworks like FastAPI or Flask.
- Deep understanding of cloud-native architecture (AWS preferred) and event-driven systems.
- Experience building or integrating AI/ML platform features (model serving, orchestration, vector search).
- A habit of turning new discoveries into reusable knowledge for the team.
