AML Financial Crime Team Leader

Kroo is seeking a resourceful and enthusiastic Financial Crime Team Leader to support the operations of their First Line Financial Crime Operations team. This role involves providing expert advice and guidance to investigators, ensuring compliance with regulations, and assisting with complex investigations. The team is growing and values collaboration, integrity, and a positive attitude.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading teams within a Financial Crime or Compliance function.
• Demonstrated ability to investigate and mitigate financial crime risks.
• Strong knowledge of AML, Counter Terrorist Financing, Sanctions, and related compliance regulations.
• Understanding of broader financial crime risks, including fraud management.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Practical experience investigating transaction monitoring alerts, sanctions, Politically Exposed Persons (PEP), and adverse media cases.
• Experience performing trend analysis to identify and respond to emerging financial crime risks.
• Strong collaboration skills with law enforcement and internal stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience managing escalations from customer service teams.
