Job Description
Kuda is a fintech company focused on making financial services accessible and affordable in Africa. They are seeking a Data Science Manager to lead their team and develop machine learning models for credit scoring, fraud detection, and collections. The role requires collaboration across teams and exposure to cutting-edge technologies in data science.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field
- Minimum of 6 years in data science
- Minimum of 2 years in a leadership role managing teams and projects
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and machine learning libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch). Strong knowledge of cloud environments and services (AWS, Google Cloud).
- Experience in credit risk modeling, fraud detection, or financial services
- Strong ability to lead teams, manage projects, and communicate effectively
- Understanding of financial regulations and compliance standards (especially in Nigeria)
- Ability to translate business challenges into data-driven solutions.
